Profiles of Moss Park

It’s an undiscovered strip of life in Toronto.

Wedged between the academic life at Ryerson, and a soon to be revitalized Regent Park, the area of Dundas between Jarvis and Parliament is called Moss Park though most don’t know its name.

For one week our reporters fanned out profiling various aspects of it. We saw abandoned store fronts, discount stores and wandering homeless people juxtaposed with a brightly-painted Aboriginal culture centre, a shop of eclectic African wares and a century-old church full of laughing children and devoted community members.

We saw a glimpse of the people, the issues and a new future that this unknown community holds—and we’re sharing it with you.
