There once was a teenaged girl who boycotted news for a year.

It was hard. Information was her addiction. She lived to know. But news disappointed her. She thought it was made by and for the Man.

Ironically, she is now a reporter. She still thinks aspects of news culture slave to the "establishment," but now sees more grey than black and white in news production.

She tries to live and report within that middle shade.
